In this Blog, I, want to describe, Famous 10 Japanese tourist places in the world. Japan is the most beautiful country in the world. It has huge spectacular natural beauty sights, which attract tourists from all over the world.

Japan is an island country in East Asia. Japan’s capital is Tokyo. Japan is situated in the northwest Pacific Ocean and is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan. 

Japan’s 10 most spectacular natural tourist places

1.Mount. Fuji: -

Mount Fuji located on the island of Honshu, is the highest mountain in Japan. It is standing at 3776. 24meter.It is the second-highest volcano located on an island in Asia. It is the 7th highest peak of an Island on earth. This is one of the famous tourist places in Japan.

The mountain is located about 100 km southwest of Tokyo. Mount. Fuji’s exceptionally symmetrical cone is covered in snow for about five months of the year. It is commonly used as a cultural icon of Japan.

Mount Fuji is a spectacular scenic beauty and one of Japan’s Historic Sites of World Heritage. It is added to the World Heritage list as a culture on June 22, 2013.

Mt. Fuji is the international heaven for tourism as well as mountain climbing, with over 2,00,000 people climbing the mountain every year.

Facts of Mount Fuji: –

1. Mt. Fuji is a very distinctive cone shape, which is very unusual for a volcano.

2. Mt. Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan. It stands at 3776 meters.

3. A monk was the first to climb Mt. Fuji in 663AD.

4. The unique shape of Mt. Fuji has influenced much of Japanese culture. It has given inspiration to poetry, music and art.

5. Mt Fuji is still active. The last time it erupted was in 1707.

2. Lake Kawaguchi: -

Lake Kawaguchi is located in the town of Fujikawaguchiko in southern Yamanashi Prefecture near Mount. Fuji. Of Japan. It is the second largest of the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of surface area, which create a spectacular natural beauty for tourists.

The lake has no natural outlet and flooding of settlers on its shore until 1914.

It is a hot spring resort town with various tourist attractions and views of Mount Fuji is located around the lake.

The best views of Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from the lake’s northern shores ad are particularly breath-taking during cherry blossom season around mid-April and the autumn colors around the first half of November.

Kawaguchi is located right at the base of Mount. Fuji, the mountain is not always visible by clouds. Visibility tends to be the best in the early morning before 9 am and late afternoon.

The tourist attractions available around lake Kawaguchi are hot spring baths, various museums, boat tours, and amusement parks.

Kawaguchi is also a good base for climbing Mount Fuji. 

3.Lake Ashinoko:-

Ashinoko Lake is a science lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan. This lake lies along with the southwest wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, a complex volcano that erupted 3000years ago at Owakudani.

The lake is known for its views of Mount Fuji, its numerous hot springs, historical sites, and reckon. The Lake is located as the main link between Kyoto and Tokyo.

The best views of the lake in combination with Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from Moto-Hakone.This is one of the famous tourist places of Japan.

Two companies, Hakone Sightseeing Boats, and Izu Hakone Sightseeing Boats operate boats between Moto-Hakone and Hakone machi at the Lake’s southern shores.

A boat cruise from one end of the lake to the other takes roughly 30 min. at a cost of 1020-1200 yen.

Hakone Shrine is just a short walk away from Ashinoko’s main bus station and leads you into the depth of Hakone National park’s majestic, forest scape, buzzing with wildlife. Lake Ashiniko is spectacular beautiful natural attraction of Japan.

4.  Kabira Bay: -

Kabira Bay is one of the most beautiful sightseeing spots in Ishigaki. Kabira Bay is one of the only two places in Japan where they cultivated black pearls.

Due to Black pearl cultivation in the bay by the Japanese, you cannot go swimming at the beach. You can take a pleasant walk on the white sand and enjoy the tropical scenery.

Kabira Bay is located on the north coast of Ishigaki Island in Japan. It is renowned for its white sands, turquoise waters and dense vegetation.

On the top of the hill nearby the observation point is a small temple, which was built in the 17th century. This place is one of the most famous tourist places in Japan in the world.

The emerald sea against the blue sky, fine white sands, and shoreline forests all make Kabira Bay one of the greatest spots for natural beauty on Ishigaki Island. 

5.Takachiho Gorge: -

Takachiho Gorge is one of the most incredible natural attractions on Kyusho island, Japan. In the forest of Miyazaki, the Gokase River runs through a gorge comprised of volcanic basalt columns where the 17-meter high Minainotaki waterfall pours down on the awe-struck tourist. This place is one of the famous tourist place in Japan.


The Japanese mythology about the origin of Japan is said to have taken place in Takachiho. The story goes that the sun goddess, Amaterasu, hid in a cave in Takachiho to escape her brother,s cruel rampage, depriving the world of light.

Kyushu Island is very beautiful in the summer and the fall, which are the most popular times for tourists. In the fall you will get the beautiful tinged orange and different colours on the trees.

Takachiho Gorge was at a lower elevation and was beautiful green in the winter season.

Beppu Onsen is a group of hot springs in the city of Beppu, Oita in Japan. Beppu Onsen is divided into eight major hot spring areas known as “ Beppu Hatto”.

The most important characteristic of Beppu’s hot springs is the richness of its resources’ the volume of water discharged is the second only to that of Yellowstone National Park in the USA.

More than 1,30,000 tons of spring water gushes from the ground every day. This is the second-largest amount of hot spring water discharge in the world.

Having the finest endowments of nature among the eight hot springs, this onsen site is located on a hill in the southwest urban area of Beppu. Tourists can enjoy the medical hot spring waters along with the spectacular scenery of the spot.

The seven spectacular hot springs are for viewing rather than bathing, displaying steaming ponds of various colours, bubbling mud pools and other hydrothermal activity. It is the most spectacular natural beauty of Japan

Nachi Falls in Nachikatsuura, Wakayama, and Prefecture, Japan is the best-known waterfalls in Japan. The waterfall with a drop of 133 meters & meters wide. It is the country’s tallest waterfall with a single uninterrupted drop.

Kumano Nachi-san Mountain, with its slopes covered by a primaeval forest of luxuriant evergreen trees. It is about 10 Kilometers (6.2) miles inland from the Sea of Kumano. The Nachi river runs over 48 waterfalls. Nachi Fall is also known as Ichi-no-Taki( The First Fall). This is one of the Famous tourist place in Japan.

The great Ichi -no-Taki, were in a 13-meter-wide water flow. on a ton, water drops straight down for 133-meter (436) feet every second.

8. Yakushima: -

Yakushima is an island in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. It is known for its wildlife and cedar forests. This Island is 504.88 square kilometres in area. The majority of this Island is within the borders of the Kirishima-Yaku National Park.

Yakushima electricity is more than hydroelectricity city and surplus power has been used to produce gas in an experiment by Kagoshima University. This Island has been a testing site for Honda’s hydrogen fuel cell vehicle research.

In 1980 an area of 46850 acres was designated a UNESCO Manmade Biosphere reserve area. It is the most significant nesting ground for the loggerhead sea turtles in the Northern Pacific.

Yakushima is a unique remnant of warm temperature ancient forest that has been a natural World Heritage site since 1993. Yakusshima is spectacular beautiful natural attractions of Japan

9.Kamikochi’s Lush Vistas: -

Kamikochi is the park ‘s most famous scenic spot in Japan. The kamikochi lush vistas view magnificent peaks of the Hotaka range reflected in Taisho Pond. Kamikochi is also the gateway of many of the park’s 3000-meter-high summits.

Kamikochi’s scenery is magnificent in all seasons. Many local people believe that the contrast of lush green foliage, Barron rock and snow-crusted valleys in early summer shows Kamikochi as the finest scene.

The Azusa River is a central feature of the highland valley of Kamikoch. It originates on the steep slope of Mt. Yari(3180 meters) and flows through the valley.

Visitors are protecting the area’s natural beauty. The peak season for tourists is April to November.

Wildflowers, butterflies and mammals including monkeys and black bears can be spotted in this area and bird watchers come from far and wide to delight in its many migratory and non-migratory species.

The Tottori sand Dunes are sand dunes located outside the city center or Tottori in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. At a length of 9 miles (14km) and less than 1.5 miles (2.4 km) wide. It is the largest sand dune in Japan.

The sand formations were created when sediment deposits carried from the Chugoku Mountains by the Sendai River were thrown away into the Sea of Japan. Strong winds then shaped the dunes over span of 100000 years.

Tottori is most famous for its sand dunes, the largest in Japan, which covers 30 sq. kilometers of the coast. These olden dunes stretch nine miles from east to west. This place is one of the best tourist places in Japan.

The Japanese archipelago consists of 6852 islands, including northern territories. Out of which 421islands are inhabited and more than 90% are uninhabited
