Electric Cars are function by plugging into charge points and taking electricity from the grid. They store the electricity in rechargeable batteries that power an electric motor, which turns the wheels.

Electric cars are accelerating faster than vehicles with traditional fuel engines. These cars feel lighter to drive.

Green Hydrogen Cars are defined as hydrogen produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable electricity.

Green hydrogen is perfectly clean and environmentally friendly. Hydrogen cars are very good for the environment because they do not produce the same emission as petrol or diesel vehicles. Hydrogen power fuel vehicles emit only water (H2O) & warm air.

Different Types of Electric Cars:-

1. Plug-in electric: – This means this car runs purely on electricity and gets all its power when it is plugged in to charge.

This type does not need petrol or diesel to run. So these cars have not produced any emissions like traditional cars.

2. Plug-in hybrid:-These cars mainly run on electricity but also have a traditional fuel engine.

So you can use petrol or diesel too if they run out of charges. When running on fuel, these cars will produce emissions but when they run on electricity, they won’t produce any emissions.

3. Hybrid electric: – These run mainly on fuel like petrol or diesel but also have an electric battery too, which is recharged through regenerative braking.

These let you switch between using your fuel engine and using EV mode at the touch of buttons.

These cars cannot be plugged into an electricity source and rely on petrol or diesel for energy.

Currently, an electric vehicle runs about 250 miles on a charge. But Telsa electric cars run about 350 miles on a charge.

How long does it take to charge electric cars:-

There are three EV charging points:-

 1. Slow Charging point:-This is typically rated up to 3KW. Often it is charged overnight or at the workplace. Charging time is 8-10 hours daily.

2. Fast Charging Point:-This is typically rated 7KW to 22KW.It is installed in car parks, supermarkets, leisure centres, and houses with off-street parking. Charging time 3-4 hours.

3. Rapid Charging point:-It is typically rated from 43KW.Only compatibles with EVs that have rapid charging capacity charging time 30-60 minutes.

First Electric car made:-The first successful electric car made its debut around 1890 by William Morrison. A chemist who lived in Des Moines Lowa in the USA. The vehicle was a six-passenger wagon capable of 23km per hour.

Top 5 Electric Cars in the world:-

 2. Rimac Nevera:-Rimac Nevera is A1914hp All electric hyper car. Its price is $2.4 Million. Rimac Nevera accelerated from 0-100kmph in 2.1second.

The Future of the Electric car in the World:-

The latest report by the Investment Banks UBS, By 2025, the electric car will be capture 20% of the new car sold in the market. That will leap to 40% by 2030 and in 2040 virtually every new car sold globally will be an electric car.

Green Hydrogen Vehicle:-

Green Hydrogen is defined as the hydrogen produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable electricity.

This is a very different pathway compared to both grey and blue. A hydrogen vehicle is a type of alternative fuel vehicle that uses hydrogen fuel for motive power.

Hydrogen vehicles include hydrogen-fuelled space rockets, as well as automobiles and other transportation of vehicles.

Power is generated by converting the chemical energy of hydrogen to mechanical energy, either by reacting hydrogen with oxygen in a fuel cell to powering electric motors by burning hydrogen in an internal combustion engine.

Who founded the Hydrogen-Powered Car:-

Swiss engineer Francois Isaac de Rivaz invented an internal combustion engine that used a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen as fuel for the car.

“Marai” from Toyota is one of the (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) in the world and only runs on hydrogen generated electricity.

On March 16,2022Niten Gadkari launched this green hydrogen-based advanced FCEV is the first project in India that aims to bring hydrogen-powered vehicles to the country.

Types of Hydrogen Cars in the World:-

As of 2021, there are two models of hydrogen cars publicly available in the market.

1. Toyota-Mirai from (2014 till now), which is the world’s first mass-produced dedicated fuel cell electric vehicle(FCEV).On a single charge, it can run up to 647 Kilometre. Its cost about is $66000USD. In India Rs. 50,000,00Lacs.

2. Hyundai Nexo(2018 till date) produced from 2016 to 2021. Its estimated price is Rs65, 00,000 Lacs. It can on a single charge about 609 Kilometers.

As of December 2021, 31,225 FCEV powered with Hydrogen had been sold worldwide. There are two models are available in the market.1.Toyota-MIRAI AND 2.Hyundai Newxo.

Japan has the greatest number of hydrogen fuel stations of any country in the world.

China is the no 1 country that consumes and produces more hydrogen than any other country. Its current annual usage is more than 24 million tonnes. Emissions free “green” hydrogen is generated using renewable energy.

GAIL (The Gas Authority of India’s) largest state-owned natural gas company, wants to build the country’s largest green hydrogen plant in the next 12-14 months.

The Advantages of Green Hydrogen Fuel Cells:-

1. It is Renewable and readily available

2. Hydrogen is a clean and flexible energy source to support Zero Carbon Energy strategies.

3. It is more powerful and Energy-efficient than Fossil Fuels.

4. Hydrogen Fuels are very efficient than other fuels in the market.

5. It is almost Zero Emissions.

6. It is not polluting gases during the combustion during the production.

7. The hydrogen cars are run nearly 300 miles on a single charge.

Electric cars are Reduce harmful exhaust emissions is good news for our health.

It provides mankind with better air quality, which leads to less health problems in societies that are also quieter than petrol and diesel cars. It has very little noise pollution.

Green Hydrogen is becoming a key component in bringing about energy transition and ensuring a sustainable future.

The decreased cost of producing green hydrogen using renewable, energies, together with a  drive towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Clean hydrogen is touched as the future fuel of the EU. It promises to deliver an abundance of carbon-neutral energy by 2030.
